A few years ago CEO and founder of DAR Shoes, Antonio Hood, designed a collaboration sneaker along with a few inner-city teens in Los Angeles.
This special shoe that was created is called "The Sneaker" and represents pre-school, elementary and high schools within the city. "The Sneaker" is not limited to inner-city youth in Los Angeles, but is available for youth everywhere.
Hood states that the concept behind "The Sneaker" was to promote positive collaboration in giving back to inner-city teens.
In addition, Hood produced, along with his co-artist, a shoe for Pacific Park theme park and Santa Monica Pier (Santa Monica, California). They named this sneaker collaboration 'Land Mark'. He also donated six pairs of shoes to Pacific Park's CEO and company in exchange for the use of their Roller Coaster and Ferris Wheel images in order to produce it exclusively for high-end retail buyers or auction buyers at $1000 a pair.
In addition, Pacific Park put on a silent auction and proceeds went to the Special Olympics Foundation. They later hosted a contest to Pacific Park fans via face book, which sparked a buzz for my DAR TM brand.
