In a tragic accident in Cork city, a young boy, only seven years of age, has died from his injuries sustained in a serious fall from a horse. He was rushed to the hospital after the accident, but his injuries were to serious and he passed away soon after.
Exact details are unclear at this time. It is known that the youngster was playing at Spring Lane (on the northern side of the city) at the time of the accident. It happened at 12.30, not long after noon.
At the time of this writing, the preliminary investigation believes the cause of death to the seven year old is severe head injuries.
In order to determine the exact cause of the boy’s death, a post mortem examination is scheduled within the day.
