The Barbara Brighton Young Artists Jazz Series continues in 2014 with a show at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, on Tuesday, February 11 at 8:30 pm. Pianist/vocalist Misha Adair will be performing. He is currently a student a USC studying with Sara Gazarek and Alan Pascua. In this show he will be backed up by JJ Kirkpatrick on trumpet, Alan Boyle on drums and Gary Wicks on bass. Each month the Young Artists Jazz Series features up and coming musicians at Catalina for a minimal cover charge.

If you have not been to one of these shows, you don't know what you're missing. The talent on display is phenomenal. These young musicians are really good and some of them will go on to be stars in their own right and hopefully all of them will make great contributions to jazz and to music in general. Catalina Jazz Club is located on 6725 West Sunset Boulevard and the phone number is 323-466-2210. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Reservations must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance to insure availability. You can get more information about the show by going to http://www.catalinajazzclub.com.
