It has been nearly a year since The Young and the Restless said goodbye to Katherine Chancellor, a Grande Dame if ever there was one. She shared her grandness with the magnificent heart of Y&R the late Jeanne Cooper.

Coming up on the death of those wonderful women, on Aug. 26-27, the CBS' number 1 soap will mark the one-year anniversary of Katherine's death. There will be a remembrance memorial in the beautiful Chancellor Park and that will bring back actors Michael Fairman (Murphy) Katherines beloved husband and Tricia Cast (Nina) .

A Y&R rep stated , the gathering is Katherine's idea, requested in a letter to Jill (Jess Walton) that magicly arrives on Aug. 13, and it will hopefully give an answer to the soap's ongoing music box mystery.

Katherine's widower, Murphy also receives a letter from Katherine asking him to return to Genoa City for the memorial. Katherine's friend Nina flies in from L A, where she has become a very successful author.

What we know is a lot of good drama will ensue as Nina will taunt Cricket (Lauralee Bell) about the glitch in her marriage. We are also prepared to see Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) fall off the wagon and somehow we know the moustache(Eric Braeden) will step in to help his suffering bride

The other thing you can be sure of is quality drama and the feeling of family, loyalty and love that Y&R exemplifies. They will never forget Jeanne Cooper and that says a lot about Y&R, they have kept her beloved memory alive and fans are lucky to have such a caring team keeping her spirit alive.

The Young and the Restless can be seen weekdays on the #1 channel CBS at 12:30 p.m.
