Youmacon 2010 Site is Now Up and Running!

Detroit's famous Anime con, Youmacon, finally launched their 2010 site. Along with it, there was quite a bit they had to change. As mentioned in a previous article, the con changed locations, moving to Detroit's GM Renaissance Center. When booking hotel through the website, the Detroit Marriott is offering rooms at $108 per night.

Pre-registration for the convention is now available. Registration from now until the end of June is $35 for all three days. Registration from July 1st until September 15th is $40, and registration at the door is $45 for all three days.

Also, the hours seemed to have changed for the convention. The con starts later on Friday and ends earlier on Sunday with the following hours: Friday- 11am to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 7pm, and Sunday 9am to 2pm.

So far, two guests have been mentioned- the popular geek rock group Lemon Demon, and voice actor Vic Mignogna. Vic was most famous for voicing Edward Elric in "Fullmetal Alchemist".

The con's dates are slated for October 28-31st, with free programming Thursday night. For more on Youmacon, visit
