While the debate over gay marriage continues, it appears that that it will be a non-issues in the future. Regardless of your beliefs, it is a worthwhile view.
The Fine brothers have just released their latest installment in their acclaimed Kids React Disclaimer Series. The clip has them speaking with thirteen children, between 5 and 13 years of age, about same gender marriages. Their unfiltered answers and reactions resulted in an eye-opening video.
The children begin by watching two marriage proposal videos. The first one is of a man popping the question with the help of a flash mob in a Home Depot and the second is a Seattle-based proposal between two women. Then the brothers ask the panel of kiddos about the videos, homosexuality and equal rights.
Most of the children are not only very acceptable to same sex marriages but are astonished to learn that there are states where these marriages are not allowed. The kids had some priceless reactions including a youngster who thought one of the men in the proposal was Justin Bieber while another quoted some of Macklemore's lyrics. One wiser than her year’s panel member proclaims, If one person should be able to do something than everybody else should be able to do it. With another adorable girl concluding With two guys, they're just gonna do guy things. They're gonna go to a fancy restaurant and be burpin' the whole time.
My Uncle's Wedding, a highly rated children's book.
Before the video begins, the brothers clarify: The opinions of children about these issues can give incredibly valuable insight into where our society currently stands and where we are headed as people. It's important to discuss these topics openly in hopes of a better tomorrow through dialogue and conversation. something everyone is sure to agree with.
