“For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.” (John 17:8)
The transmission of messages has come a long way. The use of symbols in caves, word of mouth, and written hand-delivery by messengers are some of the early forms of sending and receiving messages. Text and email on cell phones are the new forms to get a message out. Businesses use carriers to send and receive documents via messengers especially in big cities. Messengers are sent with the intent to communicate from the sender.
God sent His only Son to communicate the most important message of all times. The Kingdom of God had come amongst men. God was defeating evil, death, and sin through Jesus. Jesus death, burial, and resurrection are the contents of the message. Jesus has entrusted the message to believers and has sent them to transmit it throughout the world.
Challenge: Believer, are you carrying the message to family, friends, neighbors, and even enemies? The Father sent Jesus and is now sending you! “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.”(John 17:18)
