Getting to Destin has never been easier.

Those white sand beaches and the perfect weather is what you need after the long and cold winter.

With it's ideal location in the Florida Panhandle, Destin is easy to get to by car, but if you are short on time and need to arrive by air, you have choices.

As in three different airports that serve the area.

From Panama City to Pensacola, to the close by Northwest Florida Regional Airport, visitors who wish to arrive by air can compare and contrast rates and flights.

The Gulf of Mexico is heaven for hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, surfers, fishermen, scuba divers, and of course sun worshipers.

“Visitors have a variety of recreational activities along beautiful white sand dunes and clear aqua waters of the Gulf of Mexico,” explains Susan Teel, national park ranger with Gulf Islands National Seashore. “There’s kayaking, snorkeling, biking, (and) camping."
