You don't have to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras

Not everyone has the ability to make it down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t let loose and celebrate. Kansas City Power & Light District presents a Mardi Gras Festival at KC LIVE!

Tickets are available now for the all-inclusive “Free-4-All” Saturday, Feb. 9. Showcasing “Beads, Balconies, Contests & More,” the fifth annual Mardi Gras Festival in Kansas City will have prizes for best costume and most beads. With live music, Bourbon Street Entertainers, and the all-inclusive package for $20, $30 at the door, you’ll get the feel of Mardi Gras in your own city.

The event runs from 8 p.m. to 11, and you must be 21 and over to attend. Admission is free with the optional $20 “Free-4-All” tickets that let you “drink like a King or Queen.”

Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is the last day to live it up and party before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras may be Feb. 12, but Kansas City starts the party Saturday the ninth. Are you ready for the fun?
