You can take a spin on the ice at the Rink at Wade Oval

Clevelanders have the chance to enjoy some old fashioned ice skating with family and friends on a fresh, ice surface at the Rink at Wade Oval, the only outside skating rink in Cleveland.

The Rink at Wade Oval Located at University Circle in front of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Rink at Wade Oval is offering free skating to all guests. If you don't have your own skates, fear not, for skates can be rented for $3.

The Rink is open on weekends from now through March 9, 2014. Hours are noon - 9 p.m. on Fridays, noon - 7 p.m. on Saturdays and noon - 5 p.m. on Sundays. The Rink at Wade Oval will also be open on MLK Day (Monday, January 20) and on President's Day (Monday, February 17) from noon - 5 p.m.

Guests can also enjoy free figure skating demonstrations by professionals from the Strongsville Figure Skating Club on January 11 and by Winterhurst Figure Skating Club professionals on February 1. Demonstrations will be at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Coffee and hot chocolate will be available for purchase at the Wade Oval Information Center.
