Cleveland's AsiaTown is playing host to the 5th annual Asian Festival, a family-friendly, educational event showcasing and celebrating cultural heritage and diversity on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18.

Cleveland Asian Festival Designed to educate and promote Asian culture and traditions, Cleveland's Asian Festival will feature cultural performances, authentic Asian cuisine, martial arts demonstrations, children's activities, free health screenings and even eating competitions (sushi on Saturday and egg rolls on Sunday).

Entertainment includes dance performances representing various Asian countries, Taiko drummers, musical groups, acrobatics, the Kwan Family Lion Dance, Filipino - Scottish bagpipes, hula dancing and performances by the boy band Filharmonic who appeared on the NBC competition show 'The Sing-off".

Make sure you don't miss a visit to the Colors of Asia Fashion Show (being held at 3 p.m. both days of the Festival) highlighting apparel from a variety of Asian cultures. Feel free to have your photo taken with the various models around the Festival grounds.

Guests will be able to take free trolley tours of AsiaTown. And for an experience that you won't soon forget, try your hand at inflatable Sumo wrestling.

Hours for the Cleveland Asian Festival are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. Parking is free. Parking is available at E.24th and Payne.

AsiaTown is located between E. 27th St. and E. 30th St. in downtown Cleveland.
