Janice Baca introduced herself, “I am the author of God’s Healing Plan: Hope for the Emotionally and Spiritually Wounded. I am also a registered nurse, Certified Life Coach, speaker, and inspirational writer. I was born in Beaumont, Texas and graduated with my Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing at Lamar University. I am currently pursing my Master’s Degree in Theology at St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas.
After graduating from college, I joined the United States Air Force and served over 9 years as an officer and trauma nurse. During this time, I completed a one-year tour in Osan Air Base, South Korea and was later deployed to Germany for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Currently, I coach troops, families, churches, and organizations around the world how to not only heal, but to see their own special purpose in life.”
Her focus, “Many believe that healing can’t be achieved – or rather, not for them. The message I send out is that you can be healed; no matter how bad your experience has been. I gave my life as an example in my book to show that I too have experienced some very painful times. Then, I provide a healing plan, the same one I used to be healed. Healing is for everyone, especially for you.”
She talked about survival, “The lowest and most painful moment I experienced was the desire to die.The pain was so intense I believed that even God abandoned and turned His back on me. My life felt worthless. It was at that time I gave up, took a bottle of pills, and laid down to die. But I experienced a miracle instead. As I felt my spirit lifting, the room began to glow. My heart began to race and I heard a voice that told me to get dressed and go to the Emergency Room – and I did. It was then that I knew my life was not meant to be over. I have a purpose to live.
Today, I know my purpose. My purpose is to help the hurting people. I reach to find them and offer hope and healing.”
Janice’s closing words, “Hurting people, hurt people. When we heal those who are wounded, we do more than affect one person. We affect cities, states, and regions. My job is to affect regions through healing, one person at a time.”
