You are not nuts

There are many people who have feelings of anxiety and depression. They often feel very anxious about something so anxious that it may lead to behaving in an unusual manner. They may also feel very paranoid and fearful as well. After going into that state of mind, and getting some help for it, they may think back to those times and wonder what was I doing? Was I nuts?

You were not nuts.

It was a behavior that you developed because of anxiety and depression. No one was prejudging you because of who you were then and who you are now. There are a lot of people who have gone through the same thing and have recovered from it. For some people it is a long road traveled and for others it is less of a travel but you all have traveled the same road, just different paths along the way.

People who refer to other people as nuts, just do not understand the illness. A lot of people just refer back to it as a joke saying “I was nuts back then” and just laugh it off.

You were not nuts, you just went through a dark time in your life and are in the recovery stage now. In Toronto, the Canadian Mental Health Association is there to provide good help and great support for those of you who are going through depression.
