The latest episode of Nintendo Direct, which can be viewed here, has revealed another veteran fighter who will appear in the next "Super Smash Bros." titles. That fighter is Yoshi, and he was confirmed to return on April 8, 2014. The next “Super Smash Bros.” titles are scheduled to release in the summer of 2014 on the Nintendo 3DS, and in the winter of 2014 on the Nintendo Wii U.

Yoshi has been a fighter in every “Super Smash Bros.” title to date, so it should not be a surprise that he is returning in this title. He has always been a relatively fast, middle-weight fighter. That is likely still going to be the case in the new games. Some changes are known about Yoshi, however. He stands upright when he fights in this title, whereas he used to hunch over when fighting. His up special attack is still an egg toss, so it is likely that he still does not have a reliable recovery attack (aside from a really high double jump).
