Yoko Ono has hit the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart again with her fourth consecutive #1 club chart-topper, “Give Me Something." Taken from the "Double Fantasy" album, the remix features contributions by Morel, Dave Aude, Stonebridge, Twisted Sound+Vision, Junior Boys, Ralphi Rosario, Alex Trax and cult favorites Sparks.

“Give Me Something (The Remixes)" is available now as a digital green release on Mind Train/Twisted Records.

Ono's remix series has paired her in the past with collaborators including Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys, Basement Jaxx, the Polyphonic Spree, Antony and the Johnsons and Spiritualized.

It's a credit to Ono's ingenuity that she's been so successful with these dance remixes of music that decidedly isn't mainstream.

But even when he was alive, John Lennon was touting her music as ahead of it s time. In his1980 interview with Playboy, he said, "She showed me the possibility of the alternative." It seems like she's been doing that to modern-day audiences as well. And quite successfully, too.

Whatever. A bunch of producers rework her stuff into something listenable. How does she get the credit and they get none?

Jennifer Lopez awful Louboutins song was No. 1 on this silly dance chart two weeks ago. I don't give these clubs much credit for musical taste, just droning beats.

Am I the only one who thinks these comments are strange?

    >I don't give these clubs much credit for musical taste, just droning beats.

Hello, that's what 'club/dance music' is!

    >A bunch of producers rework her stuff into something listenable. How does she get the credit and they get none?

Hello, she's the Big Name Star which sells the product, they aren't.

And she had what to do with the mix of the song? Any song can be be reworked to become "dance music." She is incidental. She is a bit more listenable in the dance mix, however, and that's a good thing...or at least it's not so awful

The remixes are great! Sparks changed the backing track, but kept Yoko's vocals completely intact. They made a torch song out of a hard rocking song. VERY impressive! I like most of the mixes a LOT! This is one of my favorite tracks ever. As far as credit? You can't remix something that doesn't exist. Yoko's songwriting is the foundation of the mixes...everything else is an enhancement.

NOTAFAN: I answered this question for another typical idiot who has to crap on everything Yoko does - THE PRODUCERS/REMIXERS FOR EVERY MIX GET CREDITED!! How do you think the mixes are distinguished one from the other? Oh, that's right, YOU DON'T THINK, you just puke up a comment that highlights your already obvious ignorance. When a customer downloads, that's how they know what mixes they're choosing, they're named after the remixers! Imagine that! Ditto for the club djs who have physical copies! Thanks for showing what a knuckle-dragging know-nothing you are! Speaking of which, tape up YOUR knuckles, JON you dullard! If what you write is true, put your money where your big stupid mouth is - write & record a song, find some remixers to do it up nice (HA!), and let's see your garbage get play ANYWHERE! ANNE, pull it out of where the sun don't shine and get some fresh air, fool! Thanks for embarrassing TRUE Beatle fans who love variety in music! Bet Ravi is drone to you! Ravi WHO ANNE?

Ono's SIXTH Club #1, by the way. TWO more made the top four. And the other four all made the Top 25 - bite down hard on that, musical phillistines and haters! HAHAHA!!!

Poor John, first Paul has rewritten history about the little use John was to his song writing, After all he wrote all his songs alone, but he always mentions how he and John wrote on Johns songs. Now Yoko can claim how much greater she is because she has more # 1. Great when your dead isn't it?

JIMMYG -- Sharrup you dumb krill for brains twit! What kind of spiteful delusional infant are you to suggest Yoko would EVER say such a thing about John??!! Facts mean nothing to you, like 99.99999% of the people who trip all over their own stupid arses as soon as they see the word "Yoko". If 'ole Marge could reach you, I'd knock you into next week for drooling such offensive crap against John! Having a #1 on the Top 100 is more significant than a #1 on the Club Charts, a #1 on the Country charts, R & B or ANY singles chart, and Yoko knows this. You're nuthin' more than a crass brainless mudhead to say such a thing about John and then say Yoko can claim she had more #1s than John. SHE'D never do it! That bilge came out of YOUR OWN FILTHY MOUTH!! Punk.

reaching #1 on Billboard in any chart is a huge achievement! Yoko Ono is 77 years old and to have her name on the charts after so many decades is huge!! GOD bless her!!!
