Yoga? No, Doga!

You're probably well aware of the obesity epidemic that is spreading across the United States. However, according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, there's another group at risk--your pets. Over half of the dog and cat population in the United States is now overweight or obese and are at risk for a number of health problems--just like their owners. If you have a pet, it's important that both of you get active each day. This Saturday, Gold's Gym is giving you and your dog the opportunity to take a break from your typical walk around the block and instead, engage in an innovative activity together that will give both you and your dog a great workout.

What: "Doga" - an innovative yoga class that both you and your dog can take together. Together you'll take part in a combination of massage, meditation, and stretching techniques.

When: Saturday, May 7th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Where: Gold’s Gym Uptown - 2425 McKinney Avenue - Dallas, TX 75201

*The "Doga" class will be held in the Gold's Gym parking lot located between the gym and Trulucks restaurant.*

Cost: $10.00 per person. All proceeds will go directly to Animal Rescue of Dallas.

Bonus: As if the chance to take a yoga class with your dog isn't enough incentive and doesn't peak your interest enough, you'll have the opportunity to save a life by adopting one of the dogs rescued by Animal Rescue of Dallas. When you adopt one of these dogs during the event on Saturday, Gold's Gym will give you a free 6-month membership.
