Lourdes Wellness Center, in Collingswood, NJ, will host a special Yoga Nidra class to benefit relief efforts in Haiti on Thursday, February 18 from 7-8:30 pm. All proceeds will benefit Haitian Relief through the Hospital St. Francis De Sales Rebuilding Fund/Global Health Ministry.
Barbara Moeller, MA, ERYT500 and Director of Yoga Teacher Training at Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies will teach the class. Yoga Nidra is an all-level, deep relaxation class. It is a powerful method of inducing deep, physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It is an amazing way to still your mind, recharge and truly relax.
The Hosptial St. Francis De Sales (HSFS), located in Port-au-Prince was severely damaged in the January 12 earthquake. HSFS has served the poor populations of Haiti since 1881. It is currently operated at 30% of its previous capacity. Global Health Ministry (GHM) has sent teams of medical professionals to Haiti since 1998. In the wake of the horrific earthquake, GHM continues to facilitate medical professionals and is also raising funds to rebuild HSFS.
