Last week, was yet another action-packed agenda filled with fashion launches from Yliana Yepez at the NoMad Hotel, Topshop at No. 8 and leading up to this week’s Kosher Food and Wine Experience at Chelsea Piers.
Two of New York’s best kept secret venues must be The NoMad Hotel and No. 8.
Actress Olivia Palermo along with Celebrity Apprentice’s Dayana Mendoza (also known as Miss Universe) attended Yliana Yepez’s collection launch at The NoMad Hotel New York, NY. Olivia wore YLIANA YEPEZ’s Mini Giovanna handbag in black and gold.My personal favorites include gorgeous lavender envelope bags and stylish shoulder bags; perfect for the busy gal about town or just relaxing on the NoMad Hotel's glorious Penthouse rooftop.
The Topshop event at No. 8 was pretty packed and I only was able to get a quick glimpse of striped tops along with various other prints and patterns, but the venue itself (No. 8) seemed like a fun place to host and or attend a party, so it was great to get the chance to explore this new hotspot and get a sneak-peek at Topshop's Spring/Summer Collection.
The Annual Kosher Food and Wine Experience at Chelsea Piers was packed with vendors and various members of the press earlier today.
My neighbor/wine connoisseur recommended some of her favorite wine producers: Wines of France, Goose Bay (Australia), Pacifica, Hagafen (rumored to be served to Israeli guests at the White House soiree’s), Clos Mesorah (95 year old Carignan grapes). Drappier Rose’ Champagne from France was elegant as well delicious!
Legend of Kremlin offered refreshing cocktails with fresh blueberries, perfect for a summer day. The most unique cocktail must have been “The Bellydancer” cocktail served with Zachlawi Arak.
Most innovative beverages, hands-down must have been the sophisticated variety of jello-shot drinks including gin and tonic, vodka, champagne along with a wide variety of other spirits .As a pescatarian/vegetarian, most of the food served was beef/lamb/carnivore heavy, but nonetheless, guests seem to enjoy the meaty menu.
The setting on the Hudson River was relaxing as well as inviting with the warm sun beaming down on us this chilly winter day.
Fashion Week starts this week, so please check back for the latest and greatest coverage here on Examiner.
