Yes want Rush to induct them into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Yes founding member Chris Squire has gone on record saying he would like Canuck power trio Rush to induct the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees into the Rock Hall.

According to an article posted Dec. 14 at, the 65-year-old bass player extraordinaire said in a new K-Earth 101 radio interview that the legendary British prog-rockers would be "fine" getting inducted by the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if they secure the vote.

The veteran rock says, "I haven't given it much thought, maybe those Rush guys who got in last year! I'm pretty good friends with Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins (of the Foo Fighters) and they did a great speech for Rush... so probably not them, since they just did one. But if you know Geddy (Lee), let him know that that would be fine by me."

Yes finally received their very first nomination from the Rock Hall since first becoming eligible in 1998 along with an eclectic list of artists, including: Peter Gabriel, Deep Purple, Cat Stevens, The Zombies and others.

The 29th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in April 2014 in New York City.

Yes will bring their Triple Album Tour to Canada for a 10-city trek in March, which kicks off March 19 in Victoria, BC at Save-on Foods Memorial Centre and wraps up April 2 in Hamilton, ON at Hamilton Place Theatre.
