Now is your chance to find out from the members of the Greater Las Vegas Orchid Society.

An orchid show is scheduled to take place at the West Charleston Library on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 10 am to 4 pm. The orchids will be on display in the Art Gallery section of the library.

Along with the showing of orchids, grown by society members in our desert climate, will be a lecture series given by orchid lovers on the following subjects.

From 11 to 12 am Cathy Loftfield, photographer will share ‘A Passion for Orchids.’

From 1 to 2 pm Carol Siegel will give a talk on ‘The Sex Life of Orchids.’

From 2 to 3 pm Diana Smith will show how to keep them alive with a presentation ‘Orchids 101.’

From 3 to 4 pm Carol Siegel will present ‘Orchidmania – the Human History of Orchids’.

All of the above events are free and open to the public.
