One is a pop punk band from Jacksonville, Florida. The other is a metalcore band from Dallas, Texas. This fall, both bands will join forces across North America.
Today, Yellowcard and Memphis May Fire have announced a co-headlining tour set to take place in October. The tour kicks off on October 16th at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada and will conclude at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California. The trek will also hit up New Jersey's Starland Ballroom on Halloween night (October 31st), NYC's Best Buy Theater on November 2nd, and the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on November 3rd. Lexington, Kentucky post-hardcore outfit Emarosa will be the opening act on this 25 date tour. Meet and greet packages and pre-sale tickets will go on sale August 5th via Yellowcard's website.
Yellowcard have also revealed that their upcoming album entitled Lift A Sail will be released in September via Razor & Tie. Since forming in 1997, the band have been a mainstay in the pop punk scene, with their beloved 2003 album Ocean Avenue reaching Platinum status and their 2006 release Lights and Sounds gaining Gold status. Several of their singles, including "For You, And Your Denial", "Rough Landing, Holly", their Gold single "Only One", and their double Platinum single "Ocean Avenue", have received a plentiful amount of radio airplay over the years. The band just finished this summer's Vans Warped Tour. Lift A Sail will be the follow-up to their 2012 album Southern Air.
Memphis May Fire will be touring in support of their latest album Uncondtional, which debuted at number four on the Billboard Top 200. This is the first Top 10 debut for the metalcore act. The band recently embarked on an European tour with festival performances at Ghostfest, Hovefestivalen, and With Full Force Festival XXI. Emarosa will released their new album Versus in September. This will be the follow-up to their 2010 self-titled release.
