In 2011, the Yellow Phone Music Conference was created with the hopes of showcasing Milwaukee talent and connecting industry professionals with the music community. This year, the music show cases will be free to the public. 32 bands from nine states and three countries will be performing at The Irish Pub, Spin, Milwaukee Ale House, or Fire on Water in the Third Ward on Friday and Saturday.

Panelists include Evan Peters, director of A&R for Virgin Records, and Chris Porter, programming director for Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival in Seattle. The keynote speaker is Milwaukee native Jeff Castelaz. Castelaz co-founded Dangerbird Records in 2003 and is now President of Elekra Records, part of Warner Music Group.

Badges to the panels cost $149 and $69 for students and can be purchased here.
