What does it signify?
There are 12 animals consecutively representing each year in the Chinese calendar. 2010 is the year of the tiger. The tiger bestows upon a home protection against fire, thieves and ghosts. Chinese New Year is an occasion bursting with tradition, colour and lots of fun, every opportunity should be taken to truly appreciate it.

For the art lovers, gallery goers and traditionalists.
Hosted at the Giant Robot, the art group Year of the Tiger will be displaying their traditional pieces of work including illustration, oils, pencils, prints, watercolours, sculptures etc.

Packed full of family fun.
Free live entertainment, enchanting performances by lion dancers, acrobatics, musical, and dance performances and a chance to get stuck in at the craft workshops and on top of that free entrance to the Chinese American Museum.

Sunday:
An option of two routes, there will be a 5k run from Broadway to Dodger Stadium and back or 10k run through Elysian hills, which ever you chose.
Saturday:
Again two options, a 20 miles from China Town to Griffith Park and back or a 45 mile covering China town, Griffith Park and Pasadena.
