February 20-27 -Artworks@7th presents "The Year of the Horse". In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, our member artists present artistic interpretations of man's relationship with all things equine. Opens noon Thursdays through Sundays at Artworks @ &th in North Beach.

February 22 - 26th Annual Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee. Students from public and private middle schools in Anne Arundel County vie for the title of "Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee Champion". Free event. 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Anne Arundel County Board of Education, Riva Road in Annapolis.

February 22 -Muddy Creek Artists Guild Show. The Muddy Creek Show “South County: A Place of Small Wonders” continues on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Captain Avery Museum in Shady Side.

February 22 -Ambassador’s (Other) Ball & Mardi Gras Party. This will be the signature event of the social season. The renowned Little Red & The Renegades will command the bandstand while you dance the night away. Tickets are $25. The party begins at 7 p.m. at the Eastport Democratic Club in Annapolis.

March 1 -Summer Camp & Activities Fair 2014. Bring the whole family to discover great day, overnight, local and out-of-state summer experiences including camp options from fun match camps, tennis, sailing, horseback riding and specialty sports camps to dance camps, music camps, nature camps and karate. 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Annapolis Area Christian School in Annapolis.

February 22 - Kappa Danielson and Paul Larson perform.Kappa Danielson and Paul Larson - folk/rock harmonies. The music will run about 7:30-10 p.m. at the Westlawn Inn in North Beach. February 28 - Asbury Jazz Coffeehouse. Jazz Coffeehouse featuring Jazz group LIFETIME, performing contemporary jazz, funk and R&B. Free. 5-8 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Annapolis.

February 28 - Annapolis High School presents a Showcase of Historical Performances. n Celebration of Black History Month . . . Annapolis High School presents a Showcase of Historical Performances. Performances start at 6:30 p.m. at Annapolis High School.

February 20-22 - Anything Goes Presented by Severn School's Water Street Players. Severn School's Water Street Players have been hard at work this winter learning the music, dance and text of Cole Porter’s classic musical comedy, “Anything Goes.” $10 tickets. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. nightly at Severn School's Price Auditorium in Severna Park.

February 26 - March 2 - FOOTLOOSE - The Musical. Performed by Indian Creek Middle School Students, one of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. Wednesday & Thursday evening performances at 7 p.m., Saturday performance at 2 p.m. & Sunday at 3 p.m. at Indian Creek School in Crownsville.
