Ok people. You have spoken. I have listened. Finally, THE LIST is complete. Before we reveal the films, a couple of things you should know.  If you have no idea what challenge we are talking about, check out the article that explains the whole thing.

1. It was incredibly hard to narrow this down to 180 films (30 alternates). I wanted to watch all of the movies you guys picked and many, many more. However, I simply could not include them all. There are literally hundreds of other films that could have made this list.
    
2. My goal was to span as much of film history and as many genres as possible. As such, we will cover 82 years (1926-2008) and many different categories. You may not think some of these are ‘classics,’ but to be fair to all fans and cover as much variety as possible, some films in horror, comedy and comic book movies made the list as well.
    
3. The list is in alphabetical order. I guess it makes sense to go ahead and try to watch them in that order (should provide more variety than, say, chronological order).  I will try to let you know which films will be the next few to come up so you can follow along if you like.
    
4. As I post my thoughts and reviews of each, I will make the title of each film on this page a link to that new article. So, if you want to bookmark this page and check back periodically, that may be a way for you to keep up. For up to the minute coverage, click ‘Subscribe’ at the top of this page, enter in your email address and you will receive notification each time I post a new article with a link to it (probably the easiest way to keep up).
    
5. The challenge starts on Labor Day, September 6, 2010, but I'm sure I'll put up another post with the first batch of films to be watched before we officially begin.
