V. Guerra / V. Guerrieri Cigar Factory (Copyright 2009 Tom Ufer All Rights Reserved)
Cigar Brands: La Mega, Don Vincente
This three story cigar factory was built in 1899 for the Vicente Guerra Cigar Company.
From 1910 into the 1940's it was occupied by V. Guerra Diaz and Company owned by Joseph Guerra.
During the 1940's it was shared by Tampa Tiger Cigars, Haas Cigar company and John Marrian Cigars. It served as a naval barracks and training facility during WWII.
In the 1970's, it was occupied by the V. Guerrieri Cigar Company.
In December of 2000, a small fire broke out in the building. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze before any major damage occured.
From a sign in the front yard, it looks like a company named Acuity has purchased the property and plans some sort of renovation.

cool pics.
Oh no, does that mean the cigar company is leaving or is the building just being renovated?
Glad someone is saving these historic buildings.
Bobbi, unfortunately, this building has been vacant for quite some time. It looks like this old factory will be re-purposed for office space.
Love the pics in the slideshow!
