Yasiel Puig arrested again? That's exactly what happened in Florida on Saturday morning (Dec. 28). Yasiel Puig was arrested for driving 110 mph on the Alligator Alley section of I-75. According to a report from CBS Sports on the incident, he was charged with reckless driving for going way over the posted speed limit of 70 mph. This is just more bad offseason news for the star outfielder of the LA Dodgers.
It was just last month that he had similar charges against him dismissed in Tennessee. In that case, he was reportedly serving as the designated driver for someone else. He got pulled over going 97 mph in a 50 mph zone during the month of April and it took that look for the case to finally come forward. He served 12 hours of community service for it and ended up getting those charges dismissed. He might not be so lucky this time around.
The Dodgers haven't formally commented on the latest instance of Yasiel Puig getting arrested. That it is the second time that the organization has had to deal with it could have some people in the front office scrambling for an explanation as to what was going through his head. They will also have to tread carefully, as he is expected to be a main part of the 2014 MLB season for the franchise. Last year, he ended up posting a .319 batting average with 19 home runs during 104 games.
