A yard and bake sale will be held Saturday, April 26 to benefit Greenville County (South Carolina)Animal Care Services(GCACS), their Facebook page announced April 24.

A yard sale/bake sale will be held Saturday at the Greenville shelter, located at 328 Furman Hall Road between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. An early bird option is available to only $5, which will allow attendees to view items between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

GCACS has already put the word out that a lot of great items will be available at the sale, with the proceeds going to benefit the shelter, which has an intake of around 20,000 unwanted dogs and cats each year.

This is a cash only event.

Anyone who is available to help Saturday is asked to contact Susan Buffano at petpr@greenvillecounty.org. Donations will be accepted Thursday between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Not only is the sale a great opportunity to pick up some gently used items really cheap, it would be the ideal time to add a new pet to the family.

Animals available for adoption can be viewed from the Greenville County Animal Care Services website, or in the urgent albums on their Facebook page.
