VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” kicked off its latest season last week and on Jan. 11, 2013, it was reported that one of its stars, Mendeecees Harris, is headed to trial for sexually assaulting a minor child.
Harris, 34, the baby daddy of his “L&HH” co-star Yandy Smith, is accused of performing a number of different sex acts with a girl only 15 years of age on various occasions between Sept. 2009 and April 2010 in New Jersey, reports MTV.com citing NorthJersey.com and HipHopWired.com.

The girl is the daughter of Harris' eldest son's mother, according to Rucuss.com.
He was arrested in 2010, and charged with child endangerment, sexual assault, and criminal sexual contact. According to MTV, if convicted of the crimes, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
According to VH1’s website, Harris is well-known throughout New York City and has made his name in real estate as well as the music industry. He owns Beat Factory studio located in the Bronx and manages a number of rappers, including Vado and Webstar. Harris and Smith have been a couple for six years.
