Yahoo's Aviate Android app has a new feature this week.

Listening Space.

Listening Space will recognize when your headphones or earbuds are plugged in and will combine all of your downloaded music apps to play your favorite tunes. It also can recommend additional music apps you might want to try.

This from the Yahoo Blog:

We’ve hit the ground running here at Yahoo and have been listening attentively to what can make your lives simpler. Music is a huge part of our everyday lives and based on what we’ve heard from you, a big part of yours as well. That’s why we’re happy to announce our latest update: Listening Space.

This is something new that you will soon be able to enjoy. It will also give you the chance to discover new music.

When your song starts playing, it's almost information overload.

You will get information like artist and album name, tweets and posts from the band, Wikipedia entries, YouTube videos, and information on where you can see that band when they come to your part of the country.

The update to Yahoo Aviate is currently rolling out and if you haven't seen it yet, be patient, it's worth the wait.
