“Young and the Restless” fans have finally learned the reason why Michael Muhney was fired as fan favorite Adam Newman. Co-star Hunter King complained to the CBS soap opera’s executives that he groped her on two different occasions.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported on Jan. 3 that “Y&R” fans have been outraged by Michael Muhney’s firing and are boycotting the show, sick and tired of Jill Farren Phelps and at the hatchet she has taken to their beloved soap opera. Daytime Emmy winner Doug Davidson has come to Phelps defense, claiming that Michael Muhney’s firing was “CBS Network dictated.”

According to reports, 20-year-old co-star Hunter King, who portrays Summer Newman on “The Young and the Restless” complained that Muhney grabbed her breasts on two separate occasions. Apparently the 38-year-old married dad of three has often bullied and harassed Hunter and other co-stars on “The Young and the Restless.” Insiders say that the latest complaint from Hunter was the “straw that broke the camel’s back” and Michael Muhney was released from his contract.

Still reeling from the loss of Jeanne Cooper, who passed away in May 2013, “Young and the Restless” fans, outrage grew when Michelle Stafford exited the role of Phyllis Newman. Upon learning that Billy Miller was exiting the role of Billy Abbott, fans began boycotting the show. Now, fans feel as if an all-out war has been declared on their favorite characters and the veteran actors that portray them. “Young and the Restless” fans wonder which veteran actor and character may be next.
