In recent “The Young and the Restless” tribute to Jeanne Cooper, Stephen Nicolas, who portrayed Katherine Chancellor’s long-lost son Tucker McCall, reminisced with his former cast members about the late actress. Now fans of “Y&R” wonder, is Tucker McCall coming back to Genoa City?

Katherine Chancellor’s death will be addressed sometime in July and according to a report from Daytime Confidential on June 6, the character of Tucker McCall may indeed be back in Genoa City in the near future.

Word is that it will not be Stephen Nichols who will portray Tucker McCall, but that the role will be recast. Robert Newman, who most famously portrayed Josh Lewis on “The Guiding Light” until the daytime drama’s cancelation, is rumored to be the favored Tucker McCall recast.

Insiders say that Tucker McCall will return to Genoa City to battle Cane Ashby and Jill Fenmore Abbot for control of Chancellor Industries after Katherine’s will is read. In addition to rumors that Tucker McCall is headed back to Genoa City to gain control of Chancellor Industries, there have been hints that McCall may return to woo his son Devon Winters to London to work with him.
