This Saturday night, December 10th, XWA Wrestling returns to the Rhode Island School for the Deaf Gym for a star studded event. Rhode Island School for the Deaf is located at 1 Corliss Park in Providence, RI. The event will be headlined by 2 former World Champions and will feature many of the top local wrestlers from the New England area.
XWA Wrestling will be headlined by WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart. Bret Hart has held all the top wrestling titles since he started his career in the 1980s. Hart has been multi time WWF Tag Team champion with his brother in law Jim Neidhart, multi-time Intercontinental Champion, multi-time WCW United States Champion, WCW tag team champion (with Bill Goldberg), 2 time WCW champion and 5 time WWF Champion. Since joining the WWE Hall of Fame Bret Hart has appeared on WWE television several times and was part of a headline match against WWE Chairman Vince McMahon at WrestleMania. Bret Hart will be doing a special meet and greet this Saturday at XWA Wrestling and will be addressing the fans that evening.
Former WWF Champion Mick Foley will be appearing at the Rhode Island School for the Deaf. Mick Foley has been known world wide under several different personalities: Dude Love, Mankind, and Cactus Jack. Foley has performed with WWF, WCW, ECW, and TNA. Mick Foley has held at a title in every company he has wrestled for and the World Title in both WWF and TNA. Foley will also be taking part in the special meet and greet with the fans and has big plans for his return to the New England area.
Current Impact Wrestling (formerly TNA Wrestling) Television Champion Robbie E plans on fist pumping the roster of XWA as he will be wrestling this Saturday night. Robbie E started his career in the New England area and is looking forward to showing his old stumping ground how his career improved. Robbie E has told XWA wrestling officials that he will take part in the fan meet and greet.
WWE Tough Enough Runner-up Luke Robinson returns to New England when he appears at this weekends XWA event. Robinson, like Robbie E spent many years traveling the roads of New England trying to make a name for him. Luke Robinson’s big break happened when he was picked to part of WWE’s Tough Enough season. Robinson was able to work with Trish Status, Booker T and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Steve Austin, who has not wrestled in many year picked Luke to wrestle him on the show. Robinson may have not of won the Tough Enough contests but he plans on making to the WWE and will make his way back in the XWA.
Tommaso Ciampa is a former student of the late great Killer Kowalski. Tommaso has competed all over the East Coast before signing with WWE developmental. Ciampa has held many titles for local New East companies. Tommaso Ciampa has competed in ECWA Super 8. He is one of the top pure wrestlers in the New England area.
Matt Taven is on a raise in New England wrestling scene. Taven has competed for Top Rope Promotions, NECW, PWF Northeast, Chaotic Wrestling, Dragon Gate, and is the longest running Northeast Wrestling Champion. Taven held the NEW Championship for over a year before losing it to Brian Anthony inside a steel cage. Taven high risk assault is unlike anyone as seen in many years.
The Bros are on a roll in XWA as J.T. Dunn and his crew will be returning to R.I. School of the Deaf. Dunn, Jamber, Vernon Somoza, and there crew are the new wave in Northeast scene. JT Dunn has been taking championship titles and trophies over the last year. Jamber, better known as Amber outside the Bro-Cave, is one half of the Boston Shore. Amber has been taking on all comers in WSU, PWF Northeast, NECW – WWW and Northeast Wrestling. Squaring off against top stars such as Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Mickie James, and Mia Yim have improved her skills in the ring. Amber is not afraid to take on men, as she has defeated them in Beyond Wrestling and in CHIKARA; she has been making a name for herself.
New England wrestling ring general Jose Perez spent years traveling from wrestling event to wrestling event enforcing his skills to anyone who steps in his way. Known for his hard chops and stiff kicks, Jose Perez is one of the best wrestlers and most respected wrestler in the New England area. Perez has recently started to give back to the business he loves by opening up a local wrestling school FSW training center 437 Whittenton Street in Taunton MA.
Hell gates been open when “The Devil’s Reject” Brandon Webb is unleashed this Saturday Night. Webb has been called crazy the last few years but since his head was shaved a few months back from Brutus Beefcake he has truly lost it, which has made him to force in New England. A mix of high risk, brawling, and wrestling skills made him a great, but after losing his hair he went to a new level of ruthless aggression.
Tickets are on sale now online at www.XWARI.com. There is a special VIP ticket that lets fans in at 5pm on Saturday for a special question and answer with Bret Hart and Mick Foley. The VIP ticket also includes an autograph of Bret Hart and a photo with Bret Hart. Doors open for a special fan autograph session with all the stars at 5:30. Doors open to general admission at 6:30 and bell time is at 7pm. Come early for a chance to meet the legends.
