Xtreme Magazine launches in Las Vegas

On January 9, 2013 Las Vegas saw the launch of a new, local fashion magazine: Xtreme Magazine. The brainchild of publisher Michael Touchard, Jr., this was the initial issue of what is intended to be a quarterly magazine highlighting emerging designers and artists, and giving an outlet for Las Vegas fashion models.

The launch party, held in the United Movement meeting room, was attended by a wide cross-section of members of the Las Vegas fashion and arts communities, from designers, fashion show producers, photographers, graphic artists and models. Contributors to the magazine were given copies, while remaining copies went on sale. Cover photographer JJ Gray was there to pose with her creation, along with her model, Amanda Maultsby. Also in attendance were models Sam Cox and Raquel Williams, both winners of previous Xtreme runway competitions.

A number of prominent Las Vegas models were featured in the magazine, to include Yanet Garcia, Thai Williams, Sophia Casanova, Andie Veronica Duggal, Asia Jade, Surena Virginia Valkyrie and Stephanie Blanchard. We will certainly see more of all of these models in the future, but Xtreme will offer other Las Vegas models an opportunity to get high-quality tear sheets that they can be proud to include in their portfolios.

The magazine may be seen online, and its contents will also be available soon on the magazine website.
