What’s better than a mud run? An X-rated mud run! For all you mudders and sex enthusiasts, this event is for you – the First Annual XRated Mudrun which will be held on Saturday, May 31, at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami, Florida.

The event is the brain-child of founder, Kelly Perez, owner of, who shares that this event is “Featured in Sports Illustrated, Miami Herald, Miami New Times, among other media publications - we are the ORIGINAL "adult-themed" 5k obstacle course and mud run taking place in Miami, FL on May 31st”.

“We've merged the traditional elements found at a mud run with the sexual elements you would find at an adult consumer show to create X-Rated Run ( For example: At a regular mud run and obstacle course, you would climb a wooden wall. At our event, you would climb our boob wall and crawl through a penis tunnel!” says Perez.

Just how did she come up with this idea?

She says she was inspired to create X-rated mud runs in her own efforts to lose weight. Her ex-marine cousin was putting her through military-style drills in preparation for her first mud run. As she crawled through the grass commando-style, Kelly reached her limit and yelled at him, "I sell sex toys for a living, I don't do this type of s#!t!" He told her to stop complaining and imagine she was crawling through a penis tunnel. A great idea was born.

It’s not just about fun, but about advocacy for victims of FGM (female genital mutilation), a horrific and barbaric practice forced onto young girls and women in third-world countries such as Africa where this act of mutilation – the circumcision of the clitoris - happens on a regular basis. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing surgical restoration to these victims.

The remaining proceeds will be used to help educate and advocate for safe sex. Who doesn’t like a good a cause combined with great fun? “Aside from producing a few bouts of laughter by celebrating the silliness and messiness of sex, our main focus is to use our event as a platform to promote safe sexual practices and fitness to an over 21 demographic.”

So how does one sign up and what will they receive as part of their sponsorship and registration?

“For $500, the March Sponsorship opportunity includes: Road sign with logo that will be placed throughout the obstacle course facing over 4,800 runners, a monthly engagement on social media networks, business logo placement on the X-Rated Run website, and the ability to distribute marketing materials in the goody bags. Registrants will receive a free X-Rated Run T-shirt, one free beer ticket, a condom wrapper-shaped medal and entry into the Post-Run Party” says Perez.

Those who compete will get to “tackle 14 wild and outrageous obstacles like the Dominatrix Dungeon and the Blue Balls Dash.”

The After-Party keeps the fun going “with adult starlets, live music, food vendors, beer stands, a mud wrestling pit, a Mr. and Ms. X-Rated Run Competition and much more! While there will be no sex or nudity on the run, there will be euphoric, non-stop action, plenty of physical challenges and lots and lots of mud!”

This event is a labor of love for Perez that promises to be THE annual event for adults; one that will continue to support and advocate for victims of FGM, and educate the masses.
