With just a few days left until the start of the American Film Market, XLrator Media has gone ahead and secured the U.S. distribution rights for “Feed the Gods” for its “Macabre” horror label, according to an Oct. 30 press release email. Bleiberg Entertainment’s genre label, Compound B, will be handling all the worldwide sales at the American Film Market.
The negotiation was made by XLrator Media CEO Barry Gordon, as well as Mike Radiloff, the President of Marketing and Distribution. Bleiberg represented the filmmakers in the process.
“After our success with Bleiberg on ‘Under the Bed,’ we are excited to add their newest production FEED THE GODS to our “Macabre” label slate of elevated genre movies,” Gordon said.
Production finished in Vancouver and surrounding areas last month. The movie was written and directed by Braden Croft, who also helmed last year’s cult hit, “Hemorrhage.” Shawn Roberts (“Resident Evil: Afterlife”), Tyler Johnston (TV’s “The Killing”), Emily Tennant (“Jennifer’s Body”), and Aleks Paunovic (“This Means War”) all star in the film which follows two brothers searching for their missing parents. Their journey takes them to a small mountain town called Tendale, which is the home of a “Bigfoot-like creature with a ‘taste for tourists,’” according to the email.
