From Ogden to Salt Lake City to Provo and many other cities along the Wasatch Front, more than 1,000 Xfinity WiFi hotspots have been launched as part of Comcast’s newest WiFi rollout. Keeping people connected is the latest service to come to Utahns. By providing fast wireless Internet access to Xfinity Internet customers, Xfinity WiFi allows customers the opportunity to use free WiFi outside their home while they are out and about – a convenient cost-savings to their monthly data plan.
Locales where Xfinity WiFi is accessible include: parks, shopping districts, schools, small businesses and more, such as the Temple Square neighborhood, University Mall in Orem and downtown Sugar House. There are plans to add more hotspots in more areas on an ongoing basis. Access to the WiFi network is not just within Utah – Xfinity Internet customers also have access to more than 300,000 hotspots throughout the country.
To access Xfinity WiFi, Xfinity Internet customers should search for “xfinitywifi” or “CableWiFi” on the list of available networks and follow prompts to begin their WiFi sessions. In addition, customers can download the Xfinity WiFi app, available for iOS and Android, to locate Xfinity WiFi hotspots nationwide. Plus, non-Xfinity Internet customers can access Xfinity WiFi hotspots for up to two, one-hour-long sessions every 30 days.
