XFC star Pearl Gonzalez opens up about recent wardrobe malfunction

XFC star Pearl Gonzalez said on Jan. 20 in an exclusive interview with Long Island MMA Examiner Eric Holden that she suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her last cage fight.

Gonzalez, a 26-year-old flyweight, explained that the outfit for her ROC 39 fight against Munah Holland was custom-designed, so it couldn't run through a printing press without burning.

Her team had to sew her sponsor logos onto a separate material, and the final result was that her get-up was too small and tight-fitting.

"I had a bad ass designer outfit custom made," Gonzalez said of her wardrobe malfunction. "It fit perfectly, but then we realized we couldn't run it through a printing press without it burning. We had to print on separate material and sew sponsor logos on, making my outfit super-tight and too short. Of course my fight went three rounds and mostly on the ground, so my ass was pretty much hanging out for 15 minutes. It was so embarrassing!"

Gonzalez, who fights at XFC 22 on Feb. 22 in North Carolina, plans to do a better job of making sure her fancy lady parts don't pop out next time around.

"This coming fight I'm still having my fit customized, but I'm doing something completely different," she explained. "I suppose wearing two bras isn't a bad idea. I will definitely try to make sure my bra has full coverage and fits well."

Gonzalez also discussed her ambitions outside the cage, which includes modeling and acting.

"There's nothing wrong with playing up your beauty," Gonzalez said. "It sells! Who doesn't like making more money? I Do! I love dressing up, wearing heels, make up, nails. Being a woman. I love photo-shoots, especially sexy shoots. However, there is a fine line I will not cross! My plan after fighting is to get into modeling and acting."

Gonzalez's upcoming XFC fight is slated to air on AXS TV. MMA fans can check her out on Twitter at @PearlGonzalez.

The XFC has a beautiful cage doll in Jin Jin Kim, but Gonzalez said she wouldn't mind the promotion mixing it up by adding a "ring boy."

"I think every girl would love to see a hottie walking around in a speedo, kind of like Magic Mike," Gonzalez laughed.
