If you haven't yet met Chris Wright, he's one local Knoxville's favorite MMA fighters, and this fighter has enough character for two people!
Let me say this: St. Christopher Wright is NOT shy!
Sporting an ammy record of 7-2-0, and a pro-record of 5-1-1, Wright is only 25 years old, but he's ready to take on the world!
And tonight he's heading for the stars as he steps into the XFC ring to fight Len Cook (2-0-0) from Virginia. Cook recently fought and beat two other local favorite fighters: Timm Kitts and Brandon McMahan, so Wright has his work cut out for him.
Cook, of course, will be working hard to try and beat another local Knoxville fighter, but he won't find the job easy when he steps into the ring with Wright, who's definitely on his way up - and one of the fighters you need to keep your eye on; I expect a lot out of this fighter.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Economics, Chris ran cross country for the University of Tennessee Volunteers from 2003-2004. After he graduated from UT, Chris used his intense work-ethic to become the dominate 135/145 fighter in the South-East.
Chris Wright KO'd the extremely tough & popular Jay "the Beast" Meneghello a year ago, and after that fight, he hasn't stopped for anyone.
He trains with Eric Turner and Joey Zonar at KMAA, together with Ovince Saint Preux and Rafaello Oliviera.
