While GameStop investors and owners likely cheered the news Thursday that the Xbox One would not mandate any fees for used game sales, GameFly may feel a little different about how used games are treated.
Microsoft revealed that the Xbox One will not support game rentals when it launches later this year. When or if it appears is left completely wide open in the following statement made on an Xbox Wire post.
"Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners," Microsoft wrote.
Microsoft did reveal that up to ten sub-accounts can be added to the primary Xbox One account and everyone will receive full access to the game regardless of where they are. Obviously, as long as they are connected to the internet though.
Expect more details to come with E3 next week. Microsoft's press conference will happen Monday, June 10 at 12:30 p.m. EST.
