Boon, the co-creator of the “Mortal Kombat” series, recently dealt with fans displeased with the PlayStation 4 being the only next-gen home of “Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition.” When challenged on why the Xbox One wouldn't receive the latest edition of “Injustice,” given that the original Xbox 360 release sold the most, Boon replied things weren't as simple as that. Later on, when another user expressed interest in seeing “Injustice” on the Xbox One, Boon said it wasn't out of the question.
Those wishing for a Wii U version of the game, however, were rejected with a simple “no” by Boon. While no reason was given on why the Wii U wouldn't receive “Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition," the game reportedly sold the least on the system. Additionally, Nintendo provided little help to developer NetherRealm Studios, when it came time to release the game's DLCs.
It was announced that Injustice: Gods Among Us will receive DLC support this summer after several weeks of radio silence, but according to developer NetherRealm Studios, that’s because Nintendo wasn't talking to them about how to distribute the DLC.
“Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition” will arrive on November 12 in North America for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PS4.
