Harrison said he is confident the Xbox One exclusive will be a “big, big system seller,” after being the “most heralded game in E3 history.”
“Every generation sees a new IP explode in a powerful way, and right now I would say Titanfall has a big chance,” Harrison said.
Harrison said in comparison with other consoles, the Xbox One has a line up of games that no other platform can compete with, including the highly regarded Titanfall.
“The most important thing is the games. And coming out of E3, we had almost twice as many ‘Game of the Show’ nominations than our nearest competitor,” Harrison said.
The Electronic Arts game, Harrison said, is something he’s never seen before and that the way Repsawn developed the game play was innovated and impactful.
“I had a chance to get in front of Titanfall at Gamescom, and there is a really incredible thing that Respawn has done,” Harrison said. “The verticality and change in level design from six-foot tall to 40-foot tall is inspired, it is a really magical video game moment.”
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June Titanfall won more than 60 awards, taking home a record-breaking six E3 Critics Awards. The title has also won awards at Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show.
Titanfall hits shelves for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC sometime in Quarter 1 2014.
