Bundled and non-bundled Xbox One Day One Editions became available to pre-order at Best Buy on Monday. The retailer becomes the latest to receive a surprise increase in availability prior to the next-gen console's release this November.
The Xbox One Day One Edition by itself can be pre-ordered for $499.99 from Best Buy and it comes with absolutely nothing other than the console and its included accessories. Alternatively, there is a bundled version as well that comes with Call of Duty: Ghosts , a second controller and a 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription card for $679.96.
It's important to note here that in-store pickup is the only available option for both the Xbox One stand-alone pre-order or the bundled pre-order. Shipping is not available. However, this does assure that you can pick up the console during Best Buy's midnight launch events and get your hands on the console as soon as possible instead of waiting for the delivery guy to show up at your door.
Launch day for the Xbox One is Nov. 22 and pre-orders for the Day One Edition are sold out pretty much everywhere else. A quick check of Amazon and GameStop reveals launch day versions are not available for pre-order. Local Walmart store may still be taking in-store reservations with 10 percent down but that is very much a "your mileage may vary" deal.
However, this availability at Best Buy follows a brief availability at GameStop last week. It's possible that Microsoft is boosting the stock of Xbox One pre-orders on a rotating basis.
