Xbox LIVE Countdown to 2014 sale starts with 'Borderlands 2'

Microsoft launched the Countdown to 2014 promotion on Tuesday with daily deals on downloadable Xbox 360 games. The first game up on the deal block is Borderlands 2 at 75 percent off along with some of its DLC. However, there's also a collection of deals on titles that run until just before Christmas as well which includes Castle of Illusion, FIFA 14, BioShock Infinite and more.

Borderlands 2 can be purchased and downloaded from the Xbox Store for $7.49 while the Season Pass is 33 percent off at $20.49. Those that prefer to purchase individually can get the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, which adds an additional 11 levels to character progression, at half off for $2.49, the Psycho Pack is available for $4.99 and the Headhunter: Bloody Harvest Pack is only $1.49.

Those wondering what the daily deal for Wednesday, Dec. 18 can look forward to Terraria at 67 percent off its $14.99 price.

There's also several full retail titles and Xbox LIVE Arcade games that will be on sale through Dec. 23. The full list is available below.
