Xbox LIVE 12-Month Gold Card price matched at $35 by Amazon

Best Buy launched a deal Sunday that discounts the 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold Card to $35. Amazon quickly turned around and price matched this offer.

For a limited time, get the 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold Membership Card for $34.99 from Amazon. This is currently only for the physical card that is shipped. The online code that is emailed to buyers is currently sitting at $39.99.

Free shipping is offered for the physical card but tax is applicable in select states. While the Best Buy deal is good through Saturday, Feb. 2, it is unknown how long Amazon will match this price.

An Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is needed to access online play and messaging services for the Xbox 360 along with the many entertainment and social apps including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, Last.fm, HBO Go and ESPN. Microsoft recently announced plans to roll out more than 40 new entertainment apps worldwide over the next year.
