Xbox LIVE 12-Month Gold Card drops down to $40 again at Amazon

Amazon adjusted the price of the 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription card Friday. The $20 discount gives Xbox 360 owners whose LIVE membership is almost up a chance to renew on the cheap. However, be aware that there's another deal on the card just over the horizon.

The 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold Card is available for $39.99 from Amazon.com with free shipping available and no tax in most states. Update: Both the physical card and the online code that is emailed to buyers immediately after purchase are now at $39.99.

If you are looking for a deal that is a little cheaper then you may want to wait until Sunday. We have received confirmation from Best Buy that it will have the 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold Card on sale online and in-store for $34.99. Free shipping and in-store pickup will be an option but tax will result in it being only a dollar or two cheap depending on where you live.
