Xbox 720 will no doubt be bringing some amazing and great new innovations for the gaming industry to marvel over, but it looks like gamers who own an Xbox 360, will not be able to use their controllers on the Xbox 720.
According to a report from Kotaku yesterday, a source who apparently has obtained an Xbox 720 unit said the Xbox 360's controllers will not work with the Xbox 720.
The Xbox 720's controller will be a natural progression of what the Xbox 360's controller looked like into the brand-new Xbox 720 control pad.
The information suggests the device's setup will extremely similar to the Xbox 360's, and really, why fix what isn't broken?
The one major downside that gamers will see is that Xbox 360 controllers will not be compatible with the Xbox 720.
Gamers will be forced to purchase all new gaming controllers, which for some and depending on how many you buy, could end up being a sizable investment.
The reason for the switch is supposedly because Microsoft wants to utilize their all "new wireless technology" within the Xbox 720's controllers.
Either way though, this will surely be of some inconvenience for gamers, and it'll be interesting to see people's reactions given the fact that Xbox 360 controllers are around $60 a piece.
