Xbox 720 specs leaked? New Microsoft system may have touchscreen, voice control (Video)

The Xbox 720 specs leaked out continue to receive speculation, as video game fans await the arrival of the new gaming platform, or at the very least, a release date with a specifications sheet. Several recent reports have brought up rumored features for the video game console including an integrated touchscreen and a feature similar to the SIRI voice control found on newer Apple products.

A report from Christian Post on Feb. 7 indicates that a former Microsoft exec, Joachim Kempin, gave out some info on the new system. Kempin has suggested a touchscreen will be part of the design, which will resemble the look of Windows 8 on its display. He also noted that Microsoft will use a model for revenue where not much of the profits will come from sales of the actual platform, but more from royalties from game developers, and new Halo game profits.

Another rumored feature is that the new 720 will have the Kinect accessory built right into the console, rather than being a separate accessory consumers must buy. Additionally, it's believed the new game platform will integrate more with PC's, tablets like the Surface, and Windows Phone 8. There's also the reports of Microsoft developing Kinect Glasses for use with the system or "on-the-go."

A report from The Verge on Feb. 7 also talks about how the new Xbox video game console could have a "Siri-like" voice control built in. This rumor started up based on another rumor saying the new Xbox 720 would require a constant internet connection to function. In essence, it's believed that Microsoft has developed, or is developing, this voice technology which would be their own version. It could potentially change things in terms of the future of interaction with video games, multimedia and TV entertainment systems.

So far, these are all just rumors, but exciting ones for the future of video games at that. Do you believe that the new Xbox 720 specs and features will include a touchscreen, built-in Kinect, and voice control? What feature do you most want to see on the new system?
