Xbox 720 overshadowing mobile gaming (Photos)

The Xbox 720 will be one of the main attractions within the gaming industry once it arrives at retailers, and this, along with other platforms, have been a major obstacle for mobile developers to overcome.

According to a report from FutureNewsNetwork on Wednesday, Cie Games CEO Dennis Suggs talked about the mobile sector of gaming and how things have been changing more recently.

"There was some really great efficiency using Facebook's marketing in promoting our new iOS game Car Town Streets, the sequel to Car Town on Facebook.

"Getting a 40 percent efficiency over the norm on Facebook, compared to other user acquisition channels on mobile, was pretty exciting for us.

With any user acquisition the quality of the player that you get is a big part of what we're doing," Suggs said.

Suggs then talked about how he wouldn't want to guess at how much user costs could be rising in the future.

"I wouldn't even venture a guess.

"What was nice to see this year was, by comparing notes with other friends in the industry, I think some people felt user acquisition on mobile this year was going to ramp up very, very high. In some cases, depending on who you talk to, I don't think it hit the high level that people were anticipating.

"I don't know if that means there was a level-off," Suggs said.
