Now that Sony has officially announced their next-generation system, the gaming industry is looking forward to what Microsoft will be bringing to the table with the Xbox 720. Microsoft has not yet confirmed exactly when they will be showcasing the Xbox 720, but new information suggests that Microsoft will be holding an Xbox event in April, which may bring the announcement of this system.
As brought to our attention by the popular video game forum NeoGAF on Feb. 25, Rob Crossley, editor of CVG, has stated that a trustworthy source has confirmed that Microsoft has scheduled the Xbox event for April 26. If this is in fact true, Microsoft will most likely be showcasing the Xbox 720 at this upcoming Xbox event.
Currently, there is no official information that has been given in regards to the Xbox 720. With Sony announcing the PS4 in a big way on Feb. 20, we will just have to wait and see if Microsoft is able to make a compelling case against the PS4 with their Xbox 720.
